My America

Many Americans, after building up huge deficits on charge cards and taking every last bit of equity out of their homes, are now conveniently blaming Mexicans for America’s predicament.   These very same people want to shop at Walmart and pay rock bottom rates for clothing they do not want to manufacture, and fruit that they to not want to pick.

The truth is, the people who are fighting against a legal way for Mexicans to cross the border and do our dirty work, are the very same people who want continue to frighten and demean them as illegal aliens, and capitalize on this by paying lower wages, or demanding unreasonable hours.  The deal is, if an illegal works for a Gringo, the Gringo owns him.  He can call the Police, terminate employment and other such threats to keep workers subjugated.

Do Mexican’s Pay Taxes?

The funny thing is even our government in complicit.  Every year the IRS receives tax payments from fake or ghost social security numbers.  Business owners know it, the Mexicans know it, and the government knows it, but all pretend not to.  The government has even gone so far as to waive minimum wage and other environmental and other health requirements in certain industries such as orchards.

What we also know that not only do Mexicans pay state and federal taxes, but Mexicans also pay Social Security Taxes, which they will never be able to benefit from, as it is a ghost account.  The same people who are being blamed for our problems, are in fact bolstering the social security system, and offering a higher standard of living for those not interested in manual labor.

What is the solution to Mexican’s and Taxes?

The solution is taking the corruption out of the equation.

Our government issues the same number of visas to the Philippines as it does Mexico, or any other country for that matter.  Now, does it make sense that we should perhaps increase the number of visas to a country that is on our border, has millions more people, and are a cornerstone of our economy?

No, instead we will force them to cross the border as illegal aliens, label them as criminals, and keep them suppressed in the shadows of our “Democratic” society.

For those who insist that Mexican’s are breaking the law by crossing the border, it is an impossibility to do so for most.  The line is so long, and the price so high, that this option is not viable for a majority of the population.

This is my America – Get out of my country!

I love when people say “this is my country” how dare these illegals cross the border into “my country”.  Go ahead, beat your chest, tell yourself America is the greatest country in the world.  The facts are most of our ancestors came into the US illegally.  Our country was also built on the backs of slaves, and vast swaths of natural resources, that were completely used up within years.  Every buffalo shot, every tree in the range chopped down, whole generations of families ripped apart.  Add the Indian slaughters into the mix, and our bragging rights start to fade.

How about we start treating human beings as human beings?  Is the life of a Mexican worth any less than the life of an American, in God’s eyes?

Learn what is like to live in the US as an Illegal Alien

Tortilla Curtain is an intense story that tells the harsh reality of living in the shadows as an Illegal.

Meet Candido and America Rincon as they desperately cling to their vision of the American Dream as they fight off starvation in a makeshift camp deep in the ravine. This really had a huge impact on my perception of illegal immigrants.  Highly recommend it – super good read.

Illegal Immigration and Crime

Being a human being of different skin color does not make you a criminal.

Being a human being that speaks a different language does not make you deserving of more severe punishment.

The truth is, most Illegal aliens are sweating it out in fields of pesticide. These people, work in conditions that we would not even consider.

All the criminals I have met in my life not work 12 hour days.

Illegal Immigrants Hard Working Honest Workers

The typical illegal Mexican immigrant is an honest worker struggling for a better life for himself and his family, not a violent criminal.

Look at most of your janitors – Mexican, look in the fields – Mexican – in fact the Mexican worker is not only is honest and hard working, but he does this under a system that keeps him at the bottom of the barrel.

Illegal Alien Crime Statistics

Newsweek reported the below recently:

“cities with the largest increases in immigration between 1990 and 2000 experienced the largest decreases in homicide and robbery”

“A new study by sociologist Tim Wadsworth of the University of Colorado at Boulder carefully evaluates the various factors behind the statistics that show a massive drop in crime during the 1990s at a time when immigration rose dramatically. In a peer-reviewed paper appearing in the June 2010 issue of Social Science Quarterly, Wadsworth argues not only that “cities with the largest increases in immigration between 1990 and 2000 experienced the largest decreases in homicide and robbery,” which we knew, but that after considering all the other explanations, rising immigration “was partially responsible.”

To deny that reality and ignore its implications is likely to make life more dangerous all over America, diverting resources away from the fight against violent crime and breaking down the hard-won trust between cops and the communities where they work. Several police chiefs tried to make exactly this point Wednesday on a visit to Washington to talk about the Arizona law, due to take effect in July, and the bad precedent it sets. “This is not a law that increases public safety. This is a bill that makes it much harder for us to do our jobs,” said Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck. “Crime will go up if this becomes law in Arizona or in any other state.”

Illegals Forced into Crime?

This is not an ideological question, although some of the law’s supporters, including some cops, would like to turn it into one. Experience has shown that when immigrants think they’ll be nailed for immigration offenses, they stop cooperating with law enforcement. The intelligence needed to find and fight hard-core criminals, whatever their immigration status, will be harder to get. People who feel themselves singled out for discrimination will withdraw more and more into ghettos, increasingly marginalized from American life instead of integrated into it. Smart cops understand all this perfectly well.

But of course if you’re using frog puppets as part of a know-nothing campaign to convince people that immigrants bring crime to the United States like rats carrying the plague, you’re not going to want to listen to reason, and you’ll ignore facts like the just-released preliminary statistics from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Report, which appear to line up with Wadsworth’s research. What’s so striking about them, he told me in an e-mail, is not just that the FBI numbers provide anecdotal support for his analysis, but that they are “entirely inconsistent with the claims of politicians and the general public sentiment.”
